Home Stretch?

We leave in a little over a week and I have begun feeling like there is way too much to do and not enough time to do it. Yesterday I (finally) purchased two pieces of luggage that were the largest size allowed and today I, along with my handy dandy space bags, filled one of them up. I am going to try setting it on the bathroom scale to see how much it weighs. Who knows if that will be a remotely accurate assessment. I can't pack much more now since clothes are at the tailors and in the laundry and I will need something to wear during the next week.

I have been on this mad drive to get as much American junk food as I can before I leave and the impending sense of "I CAN'T HAVE THIS AFTER NEXT WEEK" is making me go and get things I haven't eaten in a long time (a blizzard) or only eat once every few months (brown cinnamon sugar pop tarts).

I am starting to get sad about leaving the pets with friends or Matt's parents. We made a new tag for the dog that included his parent's phone number and I got sniffly in PetSmart. Though they tend to assume its the result of allergens, it is not the place I would choose. At least this trip is making me do all the things I have been needing to for awhile, like go to the optomerist, and buy a gallon of hair conditioner. It is amazing how much precedence I have given those "to dos" but have failed to pack up anything in the house yet for the most part.
